On the Table: August 31-September 6, 2020

Here’s what’s been going on at Our Meeple Overlords HQ all last week:

Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion – Continuing the campaign, we beat our scenario with Em’s Demolitionist just exhausting the round before and my Hatchet one turn away from exhaustion. Em leveled up to level 5, and, well, I won’t spoil it, but WOW. Check out our review of Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion!

Rangers of Shadow Deep – Miniatures-agnostic solo-or-cooperative skirmish game? Yes, please! I played through the first scenario, and by the end, managed to make it through without any of my companions dying. Sure, a few of them were knocked unconscious, but no one died! I had been wanting to try this out for a while, and I’m glad I finally did. Look for a review sometime this week!

Grab your random minis and FIGHT!

Everdell – We ventured back to the Evertree to build our little villages and attempt to RULE THE FOREST!!! OK, maybe it doesn’t get that deep. Em won, of course. Check out our review of Everdell!

Dungeons & Dragons – We continued our campaign from our friends’ porch. Our characters made new friends, beat them up (in ritual combat), and earned their respect. I play as a warlock, so I had the opportunity to use all sorts of dark, arcane magics. Just kidding. I spammed Eldritch Blast.

Besides these games, we also participated in the #7games7bgcharacters challenge over on our instagram. We also finally broke 250 followers over there, and if you’re not following, you should! Em posts her board game photography over there, and it’s so good.

And that’s what we’ve been up to. How about you? Drop us a comment and let us know!
