On the Table: September 14-20, 2020

This week was a little busier for us, hence the lack of posts. It happens. But we did play some games! Here’s what hit the Our Meeple Overlords table last week.

Star Realms – We love how fast this game is to set up and play. When we have 15 minutes to kill, we’ll bust this one out. THE STEALTH NEEDLE IS THE BEST CARD. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I won this one, which though not a rarity, is uncommon.

Everdell – Yup, we’re still playing Everdell. We’ve even ordered an expansion, which we’ll review once it gets here. We played two games this week, with Em winning one game and me winning the other, and both games were won by 2 points. I guess that means we’re evenly matched?

A winning village.

Arkham Horror: the Card Game – He had another play-though of The Blob the Ate Everything prior to our review. We beat the blob, and it was easier than when we played the Epic Multiplayer version of the scenario. Huh.

Legendary: a Marvel Deckbuilding Game – We’re now that we’ve started playing this again, we’re not sure why we stopped. We have all the expansions up through the two Secret Wars expansions. The Waste Hulk beat the crap out of our team of Thor (Jane Foster), Silver Surfer, The Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Wolverine (X-Force), which goes to show you that even experienced players can lose big.

Axis & Allies – I’m playing an asynchronous game of Axis & Allies via Facebook messenger. Am the US, and I’ve made it my personal, user-defined goal to get jets and rockets, just so I can imagine that Jack Parsons is a character in this game.

Sentinels of the Multiverse (Digital Edition) – I re-downloaded Sentinels of the Multiverse for iPad.This is probable one of my favorite digital versions of a board game; in fact, I’ve played this version far more than I’ve played out physical copy…it’s just so easy to jump in and play.

Legacy is fighting for Truth, Justice, and the Martian-Colonial Way!

And that’s it! Not a lot of gaming this week. But enough about us…what have you been playing? Drop us a comment, or hit us up on twitter!
