On the Table: July 27th – Aug 2, 2020

Here’s what we played during the week of July 27th:

Isle of Skye– It had been a while since we broke this one out. It’s a cute little tile-laying game with a surprising amount of strategy. I thought I had Em in this one, but she is really good at it, so I lost.

Ticket to Ride– The classic gateway game. We hadn’t played this in years, and I had forgotten how much fun it is! Again, I thought I was winning, but Em managed to get a bunch of points in the endgame and beat me.

Gizmos– Gotta love those marbles! Build gizmos, create combos. Of course, true to the pattern you’re probably picking up on, Em won.

Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion– Destroy all monsters! We didn’t. We have our review of the game HERE.

Dungeons and Dragons– That’s right: we play role-playing games too! We went to our friends’ front porch to play some in-person but socially-distant D&D. We killed some mantis-creatures and talked to some ents. Everyone wins!

I also had a session of the Ennie-award winning Glitter Hearts scheduled, but life got in the way. Still, I can’t wait to get back to the world of these magical girls and their magical adventures!

And that’s what we’ve played over the last week! What have you be playing? Drop us a comment and let us know!
